American Pie brings together two of the most famous genetics in cannabis history: Power Plant — the South African sativa legend known for explosive yields and an energetic effect — and White Widow — the 1995 Cannabis Cup winner with legendary resin production. The result: a 60% sativa-dominant hybrid that combines the best of both worlds. The name is a playful nod to American pop culture; the strain itself is a Pyramid Seeds cross.
The American Pie effect is energetic and cerebral in nature — typical of a sativa-dominant hybrid:
The aroma profile of American Pie is complex and layered — an interplay of both parent lines: a woody base from Power Plant, a creamy sweetness from White Widow, with spicy and incense notes in the background.
| Terpene | Typical impressions | Contribution to the profile |
|---|---|---|
| Myrcene | Earthy, musky, sweet | An earthy base, supports body relaxation |
| Caryophyllene | Spicy, peppery, warm | Spicy depth — the Power Plant character |
| Pinene | Fresh, pine-like, woody | Woody freshness, supports mental clarity |
| Limonene | Citrusy, fruity, sweet | Creamy sweetness — the White Widow heritage |
Flowering time 60–65 days (LED: 53–58 days). Yield: 500 g/m² standard, up to 800–850 g/1.5 m² with a 720 W LED. Adapts well to all growing systems — SOG, SCROG, vertical structures. Despite the sativa dominance, the plant stays compact with long, crystal-covered flowers.
Harvest in late September in the northern hemisphere. 0.5–1 kg per plant — especially productive outdoors thanks to the Power Plant genetics. Robust and adaptable to a range of climates.
